Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel se complace en presentar el disco “Distancia Social”, del músico electrónico chileno Francisco Pinto.

Reseña / Review:

Corren tiempos complicados para la música, y aún más para la música de club. El sonido que se creó para congregar, de pronto ya no congrega, porque no se puede. Si bien fue la naturaleza quien nos encerró en nuestras casas para recordarnos nuestra posición en el planeta, es también natural responder al estímulo sonoro con la inclinación a movernos, a reunirse. Es neurobiología, sistema motor.

Hoy perdería la fe si en esta relación suspendida con la colectividad y estado de pausa donde vemos los días pasar desde una ventana, no genera el impacto para crear, incubar nuevas ideas y evolucionar en nuestra manera de vivir, de pensar, de generar cambios. Este es un momento particular: es una oportunidad.

En este contexto, la nueva entrega del productor chileno Francisco Pinto, “Distancia Social”, es oportuna y acorde al momento en que vivimos, donde es necesario explorar las posibilidades creativas en medio de una pandemia mundial, una marca en el antes y después de lo “normal”, y en el modo en que nos relacionamos.

Este es un disco que se enmarca en el House, este “meta” género que abarca sonidos de diferentes épocas que se plasman en un formato diferente: cinco canciones originales y seis remixes. Grabado íntegramente con hardware (módulos NordLead 2x, Waldorf MicroQ, Orbit 9090 V2, Roland System1m, una drum machine Jomox XBase 09, y un sampler sequencer Toraiz), “Crystal” es el track elegido para abrir este recorrido donde el beat es estable, y las melodías circulan con naturalidad. Momento de quiebre es “Oráculo”, con un tono más instrospectivo.

“Crystal” es también el track remezclado por F600, Fernanda Arrau, Marciano, Vigliensoni y Android, y que dan una nueva dimensión a este LP, nutriéndolo de nuevas visiones. Mención especial para la interpretación con beats quebrados de Evil Twin (ex Gemelo Malvado).

“Distancia Social” quizás viene a recordarnos ese espacio que dimos por sentado, y que tiene el valor de proveernos de un sentido de seguridad, conexión y sincronía con nuestra comunidad. Nos vamos a demorar, pero lo recuperaremos porque nos pertenece.

Times are complicated for music, and even more so for club music. The sound that was created to congregate suddenly no longer congregates, because it is not possible. Although it was nature that locked us in our houses to remind us of our position on the planet, it is also natural to respond to the sound stimulus with the inclination to moveand meet us. Today, I would lose faith if in this suspended relationship with the community and the state of pause, where we see the days go by from a window, it does not generate the impact to create, incubate new ideas and evolve in our way of living, thinking, generating changes. This is a particular moment: it is an opportunity.

In this context, the new release of the Chilean producer Francisco Pinto, “Distancia Social” (“Social Distance”), is timely and according to the moment in which we live, where it is necessary to explore creative possibilities in the midst of a global pandemic, a brand before and after the “normal”, and in the way how we relate.

This album is part of the House style, this “meta” genre that encompasses sounds from different periods that are reflected in a different format: five original songs and six remixes. Recorded entirely with hardware, (NordLead 2x, Waldorf MicroQ, Orbit 9090 V2, Roland System1m modules, a Jomox XBase 09 drum machine, and a Toraiz sampler sequencer), “Crystal” is the track chosen to open this tour where the beat is stable, and the melodies circulate naturally. Break moment is “Oráculo”, with a more introspective tone.

“Crystal” is also the track remixed by F600, Fernanda Arrau, Marciano, Vigliensoni and Android, which give a new dimension to this LP, nourishing it with new visions. Special mention for the interpretation with broken beats, by Evil Twin (ex Gemelo Malvado).

“Distancia Social” perhaps comes to remind us of that space that we gave for granted, and that has the value to provide us with a sense of security, connection and synchrony with our community. We will delay, but we will recover it because it belongs to us.
