Jorge Cabieses-Valdés (Chile, 1978), es artista visual (MFA Fine Art, Goldsmiths College, University of London y Magíster en Artes Visuales, Universidad de Chile) y músico (Tobias Alcayota, Porcelanatron, entre otros proyectos).

Es parte también, junto a Marcelo Peña Cortés (MIOPEC) del proyecto de improvisación experimental “Fono Mental”, dúo con el cual editan el disco “Fábulas”, bajo Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel este 2022.

Ha expuesto tanto en Chile como en el extranjero, destacando exposiciones individuales en D21 Proyectos de Arte, Chile (2020); Museo de Artes Decorativas, Chile (2018); Beton 7 Gallery, Grecia (2017); MNBA, Museo sin Muros, Chile (2016); Co Galería, Chile (2015); Sala de Arte CCU, Chile (2014); Galería XS, Chile (2014); Galería Temporal, Chile (2013); HIAP Kaapelin Galleria, Finlandia (2012); Galería Tajamar, Chile (2011); Museo de la Solidaridad, Chile (2011); entre otras.

Su trabajo ha sido exhibido colectivamente en distinto espacios como Elika Gallery, Atenas, Grecia (2016); Museo Histórico Nacional, Chile (2013); Incheon Art Platform Gallery, Corea del Sur (2013); Centro de Arte CeAC, Chile (2011); Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Chile (2011); Forman´s Smokehouse Gallery, UK (2010); Galería Otro Espacio, España (2009); De Service Garage, Holanda (2008); Wallis Gallery, UK (2008); Brussels Bienniale Side Project, Bélgica (2008); Sassoon Gallery, UK (2008); Hyunghee Museum, Corea del Sur (2007); Arti et Amicitae, Holanda (2008); Warande Cultural Center, Bélgica (2007); Museo de las Américas, España (2006); Galería Animal, Chile (2005); Galería Gabriela Mistral, Chile (2004); entre otras.

En el año 2013 participa en el programa de residencias Incheon Art Platform, en Corea del Sur y en 2011 en HIAP (Helsinki International Art Programe) en Finlandia. Ha obtenido el concurso FONDART en 2020, 2018, 2012, 2010 y 2005, Beca Presidente de la República en 2006 y DIRAC en 2005.

Recientemente, su trabajo en performance y sonido ha sido presentado en Galería AFA, Chile (2019); Gallery Weekend, Chile (2018); Beton 7 Gallery, Grecia (2017); Idryma 2.14, Grecia (2017); Irida Theatre, Grecia (2015); AFA BBQ Bodies That Resist, Athens School of Fine Arts, Grecia (2015) y Galería Gabriela Mistral, Chile (2013).
