[BIO] Johannes Haase [Alemania / Germany]

El violinista alemán Johannes Haase es conocido por su versatilidad e interpretaciones cautivantes, tocando violín eléctrico, violín moderno e instrumentos de época. Es músico de la ‘Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen’, una de las orquestas más importantes del planeta, y es un músico activo en el campo de la música de cámara, música contemporánea, música improvisada, y en bandas, lo que lo lleva a recorrer las salas de concierto y festivales del mundo.

Johannes estudió en Bremen y Basel, donde obtuvo su master’s degree en improvisación libre en el año 2012, estudiando con Fred Frith y Thomas Klug, además, ha tomado clases con Irvine Arditti, Igor Ozim, miembros del Ensemble Modern, y con Kala Ramnath en Mumbai y Ellery Eskelin en New York.

Johannes Haase is an extremely versatile violinist, playing period, modern and electric instruments. He plays with a broad range of groups and styles: In addition to his solo projects, Johannes is playing and touring with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Flow Job and the seminal funk band Nordic Skywalker and the Broken Sticks, and has collaborated with Flowin Immo, the First Church of Free Music, the dorf, Absolute Ensemble New York, oh-ton ensemble, Myotis Kollektiv and most currently the Duo OHNELAND.

He has a Master in Free Improvisation from the music academy of Basel, Switzerland, having studied with Fred Frith.Furthermore, he has taken lessons and studied with Irvine Arditti, Ken Zuckerman, Thomas Klug, Igor Ozim and members of the Ensemble Modern; and with Kala Ramnath in Mumbai and Ellery Eskelin in New York.

In 2008 he won the John Cage Award (for the interpretation of new music), and in 2011 he was given the Klaus Huber-Sonderpreis from the University of Arts, Bremen.
