“El gesto del instrumentista, del ejecutante con su instrumento – en este caso con ruido pulido. Pleno de planos, de tensión y esparcimiento espacial. Un rango de frecuencias amplio y contundente, que te pega en el pecho si subís el volumen un poquito más. Cuanto más fuerte se escuche, más detalle en el discurso orgánico, más profunda la impresión sonora. Más volumen pide más volumen. Los timbres se pueden saborear, la textura se siente entre los dientes.

Promueve complejidad, cambia de espacios y no sólo timbres. ¿Peca de sobre-reverberancia? ¿Es la inevitable tentación del que manipula sonidos capturados a rango ultra-cercano? ¿Es el resultado de la íntima fascinación por el microscopio sonoro que nos aturde al plano general?

No puedo parar de disfrutar del grano de estos timbres abrasivos.”

A range of frequencies, wide and forceful, that hits you in the chest if you increase the volume a little more. The louder you listen, the more detail in the organic discourse, the deeper the sonic impression. More volume asks for still more volume. The timbres can be savored, the texture is felt between the teeth.

It promotes complexity, changes spaces and not only timbres. Does it sin of over-reverberance? Is it the inevitable temptation that manipulates captured sounds at an ultra-close range? Is it the result of an intimate fascination with the sonic microscope that shakes us from the average plane?

I can’t stop enjoying the grain of these abrasive timbres.”

Presentación / Overview:

El álbum “Tercer Vértice” es el cierre de un trilogía comenzada con “Desde la Caja” (pn103) editada por Pueblo Nuevo el 2016. La segunda parte “Tides of Continental Plate” fue publicada el 2017 por el sello canadiense Oral_records bajo la gestión de Eric Mattson.

Estos tres trabajos son un paso gradual del uso preferente de herramientas digitales y el computador a una generación del sonido dominada por elementos análogos, sin dejar de estar los dos mundos presentes. Fueron grabados en un lapso de tiempo relativamente correlativo, pero durante un período de cambios en la concepción sonora. Son tres formas de mirar hacia el mismo lugar variando los puntos de vista.

The album “Tercer Vértice” (Third Vertex) is the closing of a trilogy started with “Desde la Caja” (From the Box) which was released by Pueblo Nuevo in 2016. The second part “Tides of Continental Plate” was published in 2017 by the Canadian label Oral records under the management of Eric Mattson.

These three works are a gradual evolution from the preferential use of digital tools and the computer to a generation of sound dominated by analog elements, even though both of these worlds remain present. They were recorded in a relatively consecutive period of time, although during a period of change in sonic conception. They are three ways of looking at the same place with varying the point of views.
