Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel se complace en presentar el álbum grabado en vivo “Crema”, del trío electrónico chileno Potenciómetro, compuesto por los músicos René Roco, Polwor y Mika Martini.

Reseña / Review:

Potenciómetro, un proyecto que en un inicio había dicho ser fugaz, demostró superar cualquier obstáculo para convertirse en la inquebrantable propuesta que son al día de hoy. Los escuché en su primera (y hasta ese entonces única) presentación en vivo, un evento que armaron el 2023 en Casa Palacio al que consideradamente me invitaron a cerrar la jornada, propuesta que acepté sin pensarlo. No sabía qué esperar de forma exacta, pero lo que escuché y vi me voló la cabeza: entre un enmarañado de cables y máquinas, Mika, René y Polwor iban creando nuevas texturas y paisajes sonoros al instante, sin siquiera inmutarse por un segundo ante sus acciones. Era inevitable moverse y responder ante tales estímulos, el público instintivamente bailaba al ritmo de su música. Luego de tal experiencia, se me hacía triste la idea de no poder escucharlos en vivo otra vez. Pero por suerte no fue así.

Saltando a 2024, Potenciómetro forma parte, por segunda vez, del line up oficial de Creamfields Chile. Esta vez me invitan como acompañante, a lo cual yo acepto muy entusiasmada.

En la tarde de un domingo 17 de noviembre, llega el momento de su presentación: 2 horas repletas de un variado rango de bpms, géneros, ritmos y melodías incesantes. El público se iba sumando cautelosamente con curiosidad, muchos desconociendo lo que llegarían a experimentar. Después de unos minutos escuchando, permanecían totalmente hipnotizados con tal calibre de frecuencias. La energía en el aire era indudablemente electrizante, tal como la primera vez que los escuché en el subterráneo de Casa Palacio. La emoción era idéntica o incluso más fuerte que antes, y deseaba sentir más de ella, al igual que todos los presentes. Bailé hasta que mis pies no daban más y pedían detenerme, pero no podía hacerlo, yo también me sumergía en este trance colectivo que orgánicamente se iba formando dentro de la carpa/escenario. Disfruté de cada track como si fuera el último y dentro de mi cabeza deseaba que continuara hasta el infinito. Pero como todo lo bueno empieza, también debe terminar.

El recordatorio de esta presentación en vivo, la cual tuve el gran honor de presenciar, me deja con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja. Sobre todo porque quedó grabada en su totalidad y quedó plasmada en su nuevo disco “Crema”, por lo que cuando lo escuchen, espero puedan sentir lo que se vivió en ese especial momento de euforia musical.

Potenciómetro es un proyecto que refleja, a mi parecer, lo que de verdad se trata la música: transmitir emociones y crear espacios donde absolutamente cualquier persona puede expresarse sin límites, conectando con lo más profundo de nuestra humanidad.

Potenciómetro, a project that initially claimed to be short-lived, proved capable of overcoming any obstacle to become the unbreakable force they are today. I saw them at their first (and until then, only) live performance, an event they organized in 2023 at Casa Palacio, where they kindly invited me to close the night—a proposal I accepted without hesitation. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but what I heard and saw blew my mind: amidst a tangle of cables and machines, Mika, René, and Polwor were creating new textures and sonic landscapes in real-time, without even flinching for a second at what they were doing. It was impossible not to move and respond to such stimuli; the crowd instinctively danced to their music. After such an experience, the idea of not hearing them live again felt sad. But luckily, that wasn’t the case.

Jumping to 2024, Potenciómetro is part of the official Creamfields Chile lineup for the second time. This time, they invited me along as a guest, and I accepted with great excitement.

On the afternoon of Sunday, November 17, the moment of their set arrived: two hours packed with a wide range of BPMs, genres, rhythms, and relentless melodies. The audience cautiously gathered, drawn in by curiosity—many unaware of what they were about to experience. After just a few minutes of listening, they were completely hypnotized by the sheer magnitude of frequencies. The energy in the air was undeniably electric, just like the first time I heard them in the basement of Casa Palacio. The emotion was identical, maybe even stronger than before, and I wanted more of it—just like everyone else there. I danced until my feet could take no more and begged me to stop, but I couldn’t. I too was submerged in the collective trance that organically formed inside the tent/stage. I enjoyed every track as if it were the last, and in my mind, I wished it would go on forever. But as with all good things, it had to come to an end.

The memory of that live performance, which I had the great honor of witnessing, still leaves me smiling from ear to ear. Especially because it was fully recorded and captured in their new album “Crema”—so when you listen to it, I hope you can feel what we experienced during that special moment of musical euphoria.

To me, Potenciómetro is a project that truly reflects what music is all about: transmitting emotion and creating spaces where absolutely anyone can express themselves without limits, connecting with the deepest parts of our humanity.
