Bilocación: Espectros de Marx

Las búsquedas encuentran su lugar, los medios sus formas, el ritmo su equilibrio. “Bilocación”, del músico, productor, dj y gestor cultural, Daniel Klauser, es baile, trance y manifiesto; un EP que abre nuevas sonoridades dentro de un registro que ha ido en diferentes direcciones: techno, house, hip hop, jazz o rock latinoamericano son parte de las continuas búsquedas de este músico que se ha abierto paso armando y desarmando estéticas, discursos, sonidos y escenas para, en este nuevo trabajo, invocar a los fantasmas de lo que alguna vez fue, no la música, sino los discursos subterráneos que alguna vez la habitaron.

Teniendo como invitado al músico Tristán Sotomayor (AOI y Nonlocal Society),  “Ft Tristán” es un track que nos hace preguntarnos, ¿en qué momento llegamos a este lugar? A través de mínimos medios y un sonido lo-fi como arma discursiva, Klauser nos moviliza, imperceptiblemente, de una estancia a otra, de un paisaje a otro, de una atmósfera a otra; de la crudeza del sonido a almidonados pasajes grooveros de ritmos, casi tribales, que  arman o más bien se derriten en un cauce lisérgico, cálido, suave y envolvente.

“Trumpet Lesson” son imágenes sacadas del sueño de una trompeta que viaja por las partículas ácidas escupidas por Miles Davis; o bien podría ser un viaje alucinógeno en medio de la árida carretera de Kerouac, o una oscura y distópica alucinación de Burroughs, o, quizás, se levanta como la intensidad cósmica y sicodélica de Herbie Hancock en Sextant; lo cierto es que acá, la trompeta procesada de Klauser, entrega algo retrofuturista, acompañada de arpegios y bajos que nos devuelven a un baile tribal biológico y alucinatorio.

La voz de Daniel Klauser en “Yo te quise” entrega un nota adicional a este trabajo que, como un laboratorio de ideas, soportes y medios, nos invita a sumergirnos en un sinuoso movimiento, que nos recuerda que lo que escuchamos no es un baile, sino una ceremonia y que ahí, en esa zona media, en el “entre” del “yo te quiero” y “yo te quise” existe también una frontera -zona abisal- entre lo real e irreal o entre la superficie y lo hondo.

“De tu mirada” es el cierre a este manifiesto de fantasmas, de retromanias, referencias, estéticas y discursos, donde el espacio sonoro se convierte en contenedor de múltiples intensidades que parecen deslizarse entre polos, extremos y zonas medias que nos sumergen y hacen emerger entre suaves susurros, que humedecen la escucha, haciéndola ácida y fractal.

“Bilocación” es la aparición sobrenatural de los sonidos que, reunidos en esta ceremonia, celebran la llegada de los espectros que transitan y rompen con aquella censura, prohibición y estigma que ha creado la industria sobre la música subterránea, marginal, prístina y consecuente.

Searches find their destination, means find their forms, rhythm finds its balance. “Bilocación”, from musician, producer, DJ, and cultural cultivator Daniel Klauser, is dance, trance, and manifesto; an EP that opens up new soundscapes within a field that has gone in different directions: techno, house, hip hop, Latin American jazz, and rock are part of the continuous searches of this musician, who has made his way by assembling and dismantling aesthetics, discourses, sounds, and scenes in order to, in this new work, invoke the ghosts of what once was, not music, but the underground discourses that once inhabited it.

Featuring musician Tristán Sotomayor (AOI and Nonlocal Society) as a guest, “Ft Tristán” is a track that makes us wonder, at what point did we arrive at this place? Through minimal means and lo-fi sound as a discursive weapon, Klauser moves us imperceptibly from one room to another, from one landscape to another, from one atmosphere to another; from the rawness of the sound to starchy groovy passages of rhythms, almost tribal, that build up or rather melt into a lysergic, warm, soft, and enveloping flow.

“Trumpet Lesson” is imagery taken from the dream of a trumpet traveling through the acid particles spat out by Miles Davis; or it could be a hallucinogenic journey in the midst of Kerouac’s arid road, or a dark and dystopian hallucination of Burrough’s, or perhaps it rises as the cosmic and psychedelic intensity of Herbie Hancock in Sextant; what is certain is that here, Klauser’s processed trumpet delivers something retro-futuristic, accompanied by arpeggios and bass lines that take us back to a biological and hallucinatory tribal dance.

Daniel Klauser‘s voice in “Yo te quise” adds an additional note to this work which, like a laboratory of ideas, resources and media, invites us to immerse ourselves in a sinuous movement, reminding us that what we hear is not a dance but a ceremony, and that there, in that middle zone, between “I love you” and “I loved you”, there is also a boundary – an abyssal zone – between the real and the unreal or between the surface and the depths.

“De tu mirada” is the closing of this manifesto of ghosts, retromanias, references, aesthetics, and discourses, where the sound space becomes a container of multiple intensities that seem to slide between poles, extremes, and middle zones that immerse us and make us emerge among soft whispers that moisten the listening, making it acidic and fractal.

“Bilocación” is the supernatural appearance of sounds that, gathered in this ceremony, celebrate the arrival of the specters that transit and break with the censorship, prohibition, and stigma that the industry has created around underground, marginal, pristine, and consequential music.
